Matisse / Summerlicious

I usually do Winterlicious and Summerlicious a few times every season. This time around I only went once to a restaurant called Matisse. Yes, named after the Fauvist and Modernist painter, Henri Matisse. The space had a variety of his works painted on the walls, with frames painted around them, haha.

It was pretty good, but it was nothing exceptional in my opinion. My mom loved it because she said there was a lot of Asian inspiration. The servings were decently sized, but I felt it wasn't impressive enought for the $20 Summerliscious Lunch price-tag.

Crab Spring Rolls with Pineapple Salsa

served in an Aromatic Tomato Broth, drizzled with Extra Virgin Herb Oil

This was my Mom's. Pan Seared Citrus Scented Salmon served over Egg Noodles tossed with Sautéed Shiitake Mushrooms, Greens, Ginger-Lime and Coriander Vinaigrette

Apple Galette with Cinnamon Ice Cream and Vanilla Essence


I might be able to squeeze one more Summerlicious experience before it's over on the 25th.

I don't know if I recommend this place to you. It was okay.
